An In Depth Look At Swift's New Video "Look What You Made Me Do"

SZA- CTRL

SZA- CTRL

CTRL is definitely going to change up the female hiphop game in a good way. SZA did a brilliant job of incorporating pop, R&B, cloud rap, witch house and chillwave elements into this project, making it completely unique and timeless. Her voice is stunning and her wordplay is notable catchy in the majority of the songs, and her and her team of writers nailed the melodies and incorporated just the right amount of repetitive elements. Kacy's voice proves easy listening and has hints of power that make us believe she can really belt it out if she wanted to, but the singer keeps the aura of the project relaxed and serene throughout. We immediately came to gather that the album is heavily inspired by romance, sex, heartbreak and relationships with track names like "Hard To Love" and "Cruel". The singer even stated during a interview with Complex News last year that most of the tracks were inspired by a real life breakup. Whether someone shattered her trust or she has found new love since then, it's clear she is pouring her pain and desire through her art.
